Now the dead is estimated at 60,000, may well be 100,000 and that many again estimated to die from disease in the aftermath of this awful disaster. Reporters are spontaneously quoting the Bible concerning the great flood. A United Nations spokesman said on CNN "it’s not possible to reach all these people with the emergency supplies such as food and water". The United States has appropriated 35 million dollars which is only a token of the billions appropriated to kill people in Iraq. I am concerned about what the geologists said about "disturbing the earth’s rotation and that all the planet is vibrating". Could we go off course and crash? Certainly we could be hit by one of these powerful tidal waves traveling at jet speed. Where is there a safe place on earth? This should concern ever person living on the face of this earth. My paintings of water have suddenly come to life and being noticed as appropriate as if people are now reminded of how powerful water is. Los Angeles, Ca. is having extended torrential rains and flooding with mudslides and 4 ft. of snow in the Sierras. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena threatened with rain for the first time ever. We are in apocalyptic days of natural disaster. I have been asked to paint a positive picture of Las Vegas for their April show 10 x 12 ft. and I ask you what is positive about Las Vegas? My friend calls it Lost Wages. It is the city of sin with its very bright lights and the dark side is invisible to the naked eye until the gambling disease hooks a person and they lose the farm. The sad side is when the loser must walk to the airport having no money left for a bus or taxi and hungry. Vegas must rob thousands of people daily to build casinos and pay the power bill. This city of ‘sin’ attracts tourist and permanent residents with their massive buffet dining at cheap prices. People are moving into Las Vegas so fast now that real-estate has increased 50% in one year. Just reported news that Vegas cannot supply utilities to so many new houses built. People are fleeing Los Angeles for higher cheaper ground with less chaos and commuter time spent in the smog. The recent movie made of California falling off into the Pacific Ocean and the new coast line in sight of Vegas may become a reality considering what has happened in the South Pacific and Indian Ocean area of Asia. The Las Vegas Art Museum has been my friend by showing my art and I have seen it witness to the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses that are prolific in Nevada. There may be left over radiation from all the testing of nuclear in that area for 60 years and the Yucca mountain storage facility for radiation nearby. Where there is a safe haven for in one hour everything changes as the Bible predicts. Suddenly seaside havens become obsolete when the tidal wave devastates tens of thousands of people and property. Aftermath of this disaster will be long-lasting. The poor people that make a living fishing no longer have boats and the tourist industry is finished for thousands of miles. Roads are washed away and transportation of vital goods is impossible. Civil wars still continue in many of these areas. Where is the great EU, the European Union to help out. Where is America, we're in Iraq where anything but freedom exist. Today the resistance lured the armed forces to a house which was loaded with ex-plosives then they flew it up in their faces killing 27 and wounding many more. Winfrey Show revealed that women are not as safe today in Iraq as before. They must stay home if they still have a home. The entire world is in turmoil and cannot last. Even if the Lord delays his coming and the pending destruction and renewal of the earth, the states will break away and become independent nations as Russia did in our day. The new EU will dissolve in a short time and come unglued. There is no real solution outside of The God.
